Transformer: Robots in Disguise: Draft 2

Film Analysis: Transformers and how they relate to us

I am going to do the movie Transformers. I was always a fan of Transformers, even when I was little. The last time I have seen any version of transformers. It was called Beast Wars. The autobots were still the good guys and the decepticons the bad guys. The only difference was instead of vehicles, they used animals. Before Beast Wars, it was a cartoon show, but more popular name for it, is anime. I am here to talk about the Transformers the movie. It was a nice come back after all these years. At first I could not believe that they were making a live action movie on it. Twenty years ago movie producers could not even dream of making a movie like that and make it so real looking. What it seems like most of the autobots are made from the states. Even before they “copied” the cars the autobots look like they were good verses the decepticons their exterior is all spiky. The autobots names Optimus Prime, Jazz, Ratchet, Ironhide, and Bumblebee. The leader is Optimus Prime. The decepticons are Megatron, Barricade, Starscream, Blackout, Devastator, and Bonecrusher. What I am going to talk about is why the autobots are cars and the good guys and the decepticons are vehicles of destructions that are the bad guys.

First of all, I believe that the director choose a certain style of the vehicle to match the characteristics of the autobot. To start off Bumblebee originally was a 1976 Camaro and then later on turn into a Camaro Concept. I see this as a person who is generally young in life and loves speed, action, and wants to be in front in line of battle. Ironhide is a black, Chevy Uplander. The style of the vehicles is big and robust and seems the tough, strong, powerful vehicle. Ratchet is a Hummer H2. This choice was weird as a vehicle choice, but the vehicle was modified to look like a sort of ambulance. Actually, Ratchet is a search and rescue Hummer. Jazz is a Pontiac Solstice GXP. Another sporty type car very light weight, good for speed and agility. Finally, Optimus Prime is a Semi-truck. Optimus is the biggest of them all the autobots. Semi-trucks can be seen as a vehicle that one does not want to mess with because they are huge compared to any other vehicle and once they get up in speed there is no way of stopping them and this is why Optimus is the leader of the autobots.

How are the Autobots the good guys? One characteristic that the Autobots and humans share is to live in peace and harmony. The Autobots choose to be American cars and they almost do look like humans versus the decepticons. The autobots sacrifice themselves for the greater good, just as person would do in a desperate situation. Other traits that they show that are humanistic leadership, strength, team-work, insight, and many others.

P.S. I know it not the required number of words but I had basically redo of what I originally had done. I promise I will finish it during the weekend
